Description
This build has some of the dumbest fuck-busted interactions I've ever seen in a game, and it's beautiful to play. Unlike other Mist builds, you don't stack attack damage, or use Fleche. You spam Shadow Walk to proc 50% attack effects, and damage dealing essences.
You don’t care about attack damage, attack speed, or crit. All you need is enough memory haste to spam memories, 2 damage dealing essences, and ability power. This build can be flexed to use multiple different combinations of damage dealing essences, or to even use attack damage scaling. The build scales hard, but starts slow. A loop is recommended.
There are improvements to this build, but that requires the stars to align for certain epics/legendaries. The build below is the base required to get going and is easy to put together once your Imagination constellation is filled out.

2. Astrid’s Masterpiece – En Garde to around level ~5 so the cooldown per enemy is 0.5 seconds
3. Enough memory haste to spam memories, but prioritizing Shadow Walk. This can be achieved with a combination of:
+ Essence of Momentum
+ Essence of Efficiency
+ Essence of Metal
+ Enough levels into memories around ~5 levels for Arrow Storm, Frostbite, and Shadow Walk
+ Memory haste from chaos gifts
4. 2-3 damage dealing essences from the list below:
+ Essence of Sharpness
+ Essence of the Wound
+ Essence of Freezing
+ Essence of Charcoal
+ Essence of Scorch
+ Essence of the Void. Stack attack damage and take Umbral Edge if using void/dusk/obsidian
+ Essence of Dusk . Stack attack damage and take Umbral Edge if using void/dusk/obsidian
+ Essence of Obsidian . Stack attack damage and take Umbral Edge if using void/dusk/obsidian
Interactions
When you cast Shadow Walk, you fire 3 dark shards that each apply 50% attack effects. Those attack effects include Arrow Storm (Which also trigger attack effects 3 times), Frostbite, Mist’s ultimate, Mist’s passive, and nearly every slotted essence.
Let’s break it down. When Shadow Walk is cast, 3 dark shards are fired that trigger:
1. Cooldown reduction from Essence of Momentum per shard
2. 5 arrows total from Essence of Sharpness on Shadow Walk cast
3. Apply mark from Essence of the Wound to any enemy hit by Shadow Walk dark shards, or Essence of Sharpness arrows
4. 9 arrows from Arrow Storm that:
+ Deal damage from Arrow Storm
+ Grant barrier from Essence of Rigidity minimum 18 times (9 from arrows, 9 from charcoal, increased from ricochets)
+ Fire minimum 9 charcoal shards from Essence of Charcoal
+ Apply attack effects from anything below in the list of interactions
+ Start stacking the mark from Essence of the Wound
+ Chance of ricochet for more barrier/damage/charcoal
5. Damage/barrier from Frostbite for the first 2 hits
6. Max HP increase from Essence of Frost on Frostbite
7. Reduced damage taken from enemies hit by Frostbite thanks to Constellation Cold Affinity
8. Damage/barrier/heal from Mist's ultimate
9. More barrier from ultimate healing thanks to Essence of Guidance
10. Damage/barrier from Mist's passive
11. Healing from Essence of Voracity
Progression
1. Astrid’s Masterpiece – En Garde to around level ~5 so the cooldown per enemy is 0.5 seconds
2. Enough memory haste > everything else
3. Once you can spam memories:
+ Dump remaining dream dust into Mist's passive/Essence of Charcoal/2 damage dealing essences on Shadow Walk
+ Dump remaining chaos gifts into ability power/max HP as needed
+ Farm some hunter rooms for Essence of Predation scaling
